A Content Creator's Perfect Companion

Reviewed on 19/11/2022

Aside from a few nitpicks mentioned earlier, I'm absolutely satisfied with the rapid-editing capabilities of the software.

Pros

Flawless & precise editing of each imported clip into the timeline while manually adjusting the duration of media files at the utilized track(s) certainly makes the software do exactly what I'd require of it without any hassle.

Cons

Lacklustre (or lack thereof) plugin support is a dealbreaker for some people (including myself). Also, I've had several issues with opening up the project file on differing Filmora versions.

Alternatives Considered

Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie and Adobe Photoshop

Reasons for Switching to Filmora

While I admittedly switched to a different software on my work computer (since I require cloud integration alongside advanced photo & video editing plugins & tools), I'm still going to have Filmora running on my personal computer due to its tremendous ease of use.

Easy video Editing Software with Creative Templates and Effects

Reviewed on 13/03/2023

As someone who is relatively new to video editing, I found the software to be very accessible and easy to use. The variety of templates and effects allowed me to create engaging videos without having to spend hours tinkering with settings and effects.

Pros

The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, which makes it accessible to even those who are new to video editing. Despite being beginner-friendly, Filmora also offers a lot of advanced features, such as color grading, audio mixing, and special effects, which allow users to create professional-looking videos.

Cons

While Filmora does offer color grading tools, they are not as powerful or nuanced as those found in more professional software.

Response from Wondershare

Hi David. Thanks for sharing your experience. Firstly, we appreciate your recognition of its interface and advanced features. Regarding the color grading tools, would you please describe in more detail how did it not live up to your expectations? You may also drop an email at [email protected] Our programmer will further look into it and then improve it in a more targeted manner. Your patience is highly appreciated!

Doesn't show what is premium feature before it os too late

Reviewed on 05/03/2023

Pros

It probably is good software when you buy all of the payed content.

Cons

After a couple of hours of learning and creating my first video I found out that pracaticly nothing can be used for trial. But it only tells you after when you try to export the video. Felt cheated and I immediatelly switched to ClipChamp where I could achieve the same.

Response from Wondershare

Thank you for your love of the program itself. We'd like to present our deepest apologies for the doubt caused by the trial version. Kindly let's explain it in more detail and then check how we could help you further.

Actually, Filmora team offers a benefit for the specific non-purchased users who meet the below conditions to export a video without limitation:

--New users who have not purchased, not registered, or not exported videos
--New users who have registered but not purchased, not exported videos on the first launch software day

Notice:
1. Those users may see this offer in the Filmora program or in their emails "Get A watermark-free export".
2. Users can export only one video without a watermark for free and it needs to be done within 3 days after this benefit is redeemed. Each WSID can only get it once.

You may check your mailbox to see if there is an email regarding this benefit. Or if you need further support for this problem, would you please drop an email at [email protected]? It's our priority to continue providing top-notch service for you!

Filmora: A powerful yet easy to use video editing tool

Reviewed on 23/01/2023

I had a great experience with Filmora. I liked the ease of use and the large variety of resources it includes for free. However, when using many filters, there can be interruptions in playback but it can be fixed by removing some filters. I would recommend Filmora to anyone looking for an easy-to-use but advanced video editing tool.

Pros

What I love most about Filmora is its ease of use, even for beginners, it's a very intuitive tool that can produce great results. I love that it includes a lot of resources for free, which sets it apart from other apps I've tried.

Cons

One area for improvement is that when I use many filters on a single video, it experiences interruptions when playing back. In those cases, I have had to remove some filters for the video to be able to play without interruptions.

Response from Wondershare

Hi María. Thanks for your comprehensive review of Filmora. Regarding the editing issue when you are using many filters on a single video, please drop an email with more details at [email protected] Our tech team will do troubleshooting further and then provide a solution for you in a targeted manner. Your patience is highly appreciated!

Editing Simplified

I use Filmora for all lyric videos I make, including most video with text.

Pros

The easiest video editing software I have come across. Filmora's simple interface makes it very easy for you to understand the program and start editing in no time.

Cons

I think it could be a bit too simple. Not being able to play around with 3D elements in any software is just boring.

An easy and practical video editor

Reviewed on 09/03/2023

I really like the app, I have already recommended it to some friends. I use it to edit short personal videos and I'm always very pleased with the results!

Pros

The practicality of Filmora is what wins me the most. It's as good an editing app as any other, but it's lighter, simpler and has the tools to work with a timeline. It's easy to see the work!

Cons

Sometimes, depending on the size of the file, it crashes a little and takes a while to save the project, but nothing that disturbs the whole thing.

A Review About Filmora in the perspective of a University College Student.

Reviewed on 20/07/2021

Overall, Filmora is a good video editor especially to beginners as it has a very user friendly interface. Its features are not so complicated compared to others which makes this editor simple. But I think that is actually good because I believe in "less is more" motto. On the other hand, there are rarely that I experience lag but as I have said in this review that I do something to prevent this software to lag.

Pros

What I like most about this software is that I am able to finish video editing tasks quickly since it is easy to use and unlike other video editing software that I've tried that there are so many processes before getting the results that you want; thus very useful especially when deadline for tasks are near. Filmora for me is as easy as drag and drop process. Also, they have their own Filmstocks that I can get different transitions, titles, elements, effects, etc. which I can use whenever that I am planning to have an overall theme for a video I am making. Also, another thing that I like about in Filmora is that they give discounts to verified students like up to 30% off.

Cons

Well, sometimes I encounter lags when using the software but only if there are a lot of videos, audios, effects, elements, transitions, etc. in the timeline. Like even if I also click the render preview button it is still super laggy. I am not sure whether the reason is because of the specs on my laptop, but my friends told me that it is high enough. The following is the specs of my laptop: Its processor is AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics, its ram is 8GB, its rom is 512GB SSD, its display memory is around 4GB, and its DirectX version is 12. Yet, I actually discover something where before the Filmora will lag because of many contents in the timeline; I will already export that video and will just create a new project where I will put exported video there and continue the process.

Filmora Video Editing Software: Create Pro-Level Videos with ease

Reviewed on 11/09/2022

I love Filmora. It is the perfect fit for me. I make simple yet professional social media videos with it, and for me and most everyday people, that is enough.

Pros

1. Video editing - it allows you to edit videos by adding effects, transitions, and titles.

2. Audio editing - it lets you adjust audio levels and add background music for your video.

3. Motion graphics - this feature allows you to create custom animations with the help of the built-in templates and assets library.

4. 3D animation - this feature enables users to animate their videos by using 3D objects and backgrounds from the library or importing their own 3D models into Filmora's interface.

Cons

I only have one thing I am a bit disappointed about, and that is the price. They have a tier system like many companies for their templates, effects, audio library, etc; the free, standard, and premium options. I use it for free and always have. However, since the premium and standard have some top-shelf stuff, the cost can add up after a while, so I avoid it and do just fine.

A great program for editing videos

Reviewed on 10/08/2022

It is a program that I have liked a lot, I have created a large number of videos with this software and it has facilitated some work when it comes to customizing them, as a content editor it has been one of the best programs I have used.

Pros

It has a very friendly interface that makes it easier to edit your first video, it has a large number of effects, filters, transitions and more tools so you can get a high-quality and professional video.

Cons

It can be a very heavy program, it can slow down certain teams, I would like it to have more tools for the audio section as effects since your options for audio are very scarce.

Perfect for getting started with video editing

Reviewed on 16/05/2022

I use it everyday and make YouTube videos for my clients. easy to create eye catching videos.

Pros

It's like easy! just drop some video and photos and put a music under it and DONE! you have your video. It has a good amount of transitions and video effects. Some solid colors and objects that you may use. The export quality is fantastic.

Cons

The editing part is a bit weird, it's like you are driving in UK, I'm not sure why they chose to reverse clipping and cutting videos. Most of the time I have to focus on not screwing up the video timeline but accidently deleting or editing a clip. I hope they change it to a more universal editing mode.

This software has saved me on many occasions. It's what I've always used for my small projects. It has every functionality required to complete the task at hand. It is getting better gradually.

Pros

Cons

Although this software has many advantages, several professional features are lacking. Even though they constantly provide new updates, some features have not yet been added.

Packed with very great features

Reviewed on 27/10/2021

Filmora is a very wonderful video editing software. What I find most useful about Filmora is that it has found a very practical great middle-ground niche -- which is that it has fairly advanced features that make it very versatile and useful, but not too sophisticated to require a high learning curve and significant skill to master.

Pros

The set of features on offer is truly amazing for such an easy-to-learn software. I particularly found their pre-made 3D LUTS and video stabilization functions surprisingly effective and easier to execute that in other more sophisticated video editing software I had used in the past.

Cons

The text options can be expanded to provide much more variety than is currently available. Editing big content can also be a bit laggy at times.

Filmora ideal for beginner or casual video editors

Reviewed on 24/11/2022

In my opinion, it is easy to use right away without watching tutorials. It brings the essential elements that a good video editing software must bring.

Pros

Effortless to use, it is intuitive. Drag and drop style. You find the essential tools such as crop, zoom, cut, PiP, "basic" color correction, speed, "basic" audio autoducking, basic object tracking and masking. You can get easy access to images and videos (CC licensed).

Cons

It offers plenty of features such animation, transitions, effect, color adjustment, etc, BUT you have to pay additional for those.

Response from Wondershare

Thanks for your recognition of Filmora seeing from the view of its pricing and functions. Regarding the disadvantage you mentioned, kindly note we add effects that belong to Filmstock (marked by a red diamond) in Filmora directly, which means the users can have a better chance to try them before subscribing. Seek your understanding.

Actually, there are also many animations, transitions, effects, color adjustments, etc being provided for free, you may select them to use instead.

Filmora 101

Reviewed on 01/09/2021

It has a superb user interface, I was able to jump right in the thick of things without feeling like I need to watch a tutorial on how to use it. I think that I will be using this over my other video editing programs from now on, that's how much I like it.

Pros

Filmora comes with professional and easy to use tools. It has the option of purchasing a perpetual license that has a lifetime plan at a very affordable price. I like the fact that it allows you to set your aspect ratio right at the beginning of opening your project which I have never seen before.

Cons

I started using the trial version and was super impressed with it until I found out that my exported files came with a watermark and also that most of the cool effects came only in the paid version of Filmora, so I was pretty much forced to upgrade to get its full benefits.

Best Video editing/Creating software for everyone

Reviewed on 04/06/2020

so overall when compared to the price you pay, this software package is a great deal for everyone.

Pros

This software is one of the most easiest software that a person can use. It basically includes almost all the feature you need to edit a video. The best thing is, you do not need to have any sort of knowledge to use it. you will eventually figure out what to do. the platform is very user friendly. It also features a lot of things like chroma key and other effects that you need to create a professional video. It also come with those ever growing effect pack which make the video look amazing. I have been using filmora since I started my high school and I am still using this to create my videos. I think this is the best deal that you can for for this price. When compared to other video editors, this provides the user a good experience even for beginners.

Cons

There are plenty of things to be improved as well. The designing side is missing from this software. If I need to design or invent some graphic content, I don't think that I can do it within the software itself. and the other thing is, it takes a lot of time when saving a video. and there are some transitions which are too cartoony. I can only add 2 videos tracks. So i think this software will be better with more professional looking effects, transition and also with a designing tools which will make this software package complete.

My experience about Filmora by wondershare

Reviewed on 04/08/2021

Whether you are a freelancer or YouTuber or video editor. Filmora is the perfect video editor software for you. You can manage multiple projects at the same time by using the "save the project as a file" feature.
You can easily convert your text to video and can generate good content for social media. Whether you are a video editor or your skill is video creator, Filmora has many tools for you to be a professional.
But unfortunately, it is going to crash sometime and you may lose your whole project. so you need to be careful and keep saving your project every 10 minutes.
I have used Filmora a long time ago But now Filmora has been improved much more. I hope it is going to be a perfect place for a video editor and for content creators.

Pros

Screen recording and voice-over features are unique in Filmora and I don't think any software will have such amazing features too. Each time you are going to record the screen, you can show your mouse click and can roundabout a point and this is too much important.
Once you complete your recording, some unwanted noise is going to appear in your recording, You can remove that by using Noice remover. But doing this will delete some of your voice too. Now here Voiceover feature is going to help you a lot. You can easily record your script again and can make your video professional.

Cons

Blurring, Focusing, and other annotations are too much important for an editor person. But unfortunately
Filmore has no feature like this. You need to download some custom annotation if you want to use it in your project because it has no annotation by default.
Whenever I am going to use the noise removal tool, it is going to cut my audio also. Then again I use to record my particular script using the voice-over feature. I hope that the Filmora team will work on this and make it improve.

A video editing software that isn't overly complicated

Reviewed on 14/05/2021

Pros

I really like the fact that Filmora is a video editing software that goes straight to the point. I might not necessarily all the bells and whistles of other video editing solutions but it does provide you with a relatively solid of features.

You'll be able to edit your videos and add some pretty cool effects to them, even if you aren't that much of a video editing wizard.

Plus, the platform's overall user interface and approach is quite clean and smooth: you can edit videos and tap into existing elements (effects, transitions, etc.) without having to learn every single thing about video editing.

I have used other video editing software in the past and I know that wanting to keep things as intuitive as possible is something that, unfortunately, doesn't always happen with video editing solutions.

Cons

While Filmora lets you tap into video editing even if you don't have much of a video editing skillset. However, as someone who has used another (and more advanced) video editing tool, I have felt that, sometimes Filmora has been quite limiting in terms of what could be done with videos.

It would say that Filmora's straightforward approach is a positive thing on the one side, but, at the same time, a limiting aspect on the other.

An Amazing Video Editing Software for Beginners and Amatuers

Reviewed on 06/07/2021

Filmora has an amazing experience for me. It has helped me with multiple projects including promos, podcasts, and much more. It includes all the features I need and is extremely easy to use if you follow the tutorials correctly. Filmora themselves provide tutorials in the form of YouTube videos and blogs as well as Filmora expert users offer free tutorials on the internet, which makes everything easy while doing any editing with Filmora.

Pros

The best features of Filmora:
1. Easy to use - Doesn't require much technical knowledge to get started. (Tutorials are available on YouTube which will help you with a headstart).
2. Includes all the video editing features one needs in one software - It has transitions, titles, text, basic visual elements, and much more.
3. Multiple formats are supported - You can edit different types of video, image, and audio files which have different formats, and you can export them in any resolution of choice (even in 4K), with the bitrate, quality, extension, and audio settings of your choice.

Cons

The cons of Filmora:
1. The mobile app of Filmora requires a separate subscription so you can't use a single Filmora subscription to edit videos on the go using a mobile phone.
2. Rendering process sometimes takes time while rendering in high resolutions or high bitrates.

Filmora is the Best

Reviewed on 13/11/2021

Filmora has been phenomenal, with lots of functions, some that I didn't know I needed. I have learnt to better my videos. I would recommend it to all beginners, it's basic, and the user interface is easy to navigate, and in no time, you will be making quality videos. Not to mention you get all that at a great price, just the right price.

Pros

Starting as an amateur video maker, Filmora was the teacher I did not know I needed. Everything is so basic and simplified and gives you incredible results while spending less time doing it. I love the editing tools especially detaching audio, green screen, transitions and effects. Their audio library means there is no need to scout youtube for no copyright songs, as with Filmora, they have it all.

Cons

The saving video process takes long, that is, if it didn't crash on you and you have to start over, sometimes. I believe the bug has been fixed but Oh man! Fixing bugs takes forever. And the new Fimora X doesn't look any better than Filmora 9 for a new version.

The Best Film Editing Software On the Market

Reviewed on 15/09/2019

I first began using Filmora at my dental practice because my boss does dental news segments on television. I use Filmora to create videos to be played on the news. I am able to create videos and edit them to my liking, whether it's clipping videos, muting volume, adding music, transitions and titles. When searching for a video editing software, we used the trial of Filmora and instantly purchased the full version of the software after one use.

Pros

Filmora is the best film editing software on the market. What like most about the software is the simplicity. It's so easy to learn and use. The interface is super user-friendly, which makes the features easy to learn and utilize. I also like that once you purchase the paid version, Filmora is constantly updating new features, such as new filters. Last, once you're finished with your video, you are able to easily publish it in literally every format possible. It allows you to select the quality as well.

Cons

There's nothing about this software that I could ever complain about.
