Pros
I like that it replaces many of the other software in my workflow. I don't need an Otter.ai subscription anymore or a Descript subscription. It fills those gaps. It also has an AI video creator that lets me create many videos for social media based on my existing blog content.
Cons
I wish there was more control in the Script to Video portion of the program to edit the subtitles. As an example, it could decide to put "The Weber BBQ grill is the best on the market. We thought that it..." on one line. I might want to split it at the period and put the "We thought that it..." on the next line, but it's very time-consuming to do this now. The other thing I think needs improvement is a voiceover for the entire video and not just on a scene-by-scene basis. I would like both options.

Voiceover does not work, customer service is unable to assist and it takes several attempts to get a response. Technical support can not fix issues and they just emailing to stall in requested refunds.

I find it really interesting solution to creating videos quickly and easily, as opposed to software like Adobe or Camtasia. Get to do more without a heavy learning curve. Cons as well, but the easy learning curve makes up for it.
Pros
Using a script, and a little time, you can create video in minutes. Take another hour or two, and you have a polished video to release.
Cons
It's browser-based, and JavaScript just isn't keeping up with subtle UX features (like scene split). This is not a problem with Pictory but with how far we have pushed HTML and the browser container in general.

The videos are really great. In other cases, the images selected do not really make sense but with Pictory the results are just spot-on.
Cons
Editing subtitles can be a bit counterintuitive as you do not have to double click, just wait for options to appear

Pros
The best feature is the generation of the videos and the automatic closed captioning. There are also quite a few video clips to choose from.
Cons
On my computer, once I choose a video clip from my favorites, I can get back to the library to search. I have to save the project and reopen it. Also, it would be helpful to have folders for favorites so I can make categories instead of scrolling through all of the videos I have saved as favorites.

Pictory is a unique and easy to use tool that parsed my script into scenes and allowed me to search and select from a near limitless library of video clips or images to use for each scene. Then I selected one of the premium voices available with my subscription, and with no experience I had created a compelling introduction to our family business that explains our capabilities and focus. Pictory was the best by far of the tools I tried to accomplish this, and I'm proud of the results, especially as a complete novice. The compliments that my Pictory videos have received are testament to how good of a tool it really is! [sensitive content hidden]

I like how Pictory broke down my script into scenes and provided a simple and intuitive layout to work from.
Cons
The AI selection of clips for my script weren't very good but I'd planned on searching and selecting them all myself anyway.

Cons
The videos and images are not tagged so if you don't take note of or save visuals you like you may not be able to find them again.

The major problem Pictory solves was the amount of time wasted having to first identify the main keywords of my blog post and then locate videos in stock websites that match the keywords. I will then have to copy the content from my blog post into a text to speech SaaS and then export to my computer and import to Davinci resolve to a timeline. I will then have to upload the stock videos to Davinci Resolve and then trim to match the specific sentence. The entire process takes almost an hour. Although, with Pictory, the process takes less than 20 minutes tops.
Pros
- Ease of Use when selecting videos to match text
- Fairly accurate transcription
- Good feature set.
Pictory UI is very intuitive. I was able to easily jump in and use the Article to Video module for my existing blog posts. The Ai b-roll video selection isn't the best but the ability to perform a refined search for a replacement video was easy.
The additional tweaking necessary to create a usable video still requires less time, then having to manually go to a stock video website download the asset, then import to a video editing program and then match with a specific sentence.
The edit videos with voice using text feature is amazing. The ability to quickly edit out all the filler words is amazing. The cut is a little abrupt, but it's better than hearing the filler word. I was also able to trim down an existing video asset to include only highlights at record time. Before, I had to remember certain sections of the video to cut. Now, I can easily skim through the script and highlight the key talking points in the video and voilà, done and done. I love it.
Cons
- Filler word cut out is abrupt
- Limited number of usable Ai text to speech voices
- Inability to use pre-recorded voice over for all slides. (I currently have to use another text to speech software for each slide) this just takes too long. I ended up just using Pictory text to speech voice out of frustration. At least there is one usable voice that doesn't sound too robotic.

Very happy with this program and the way it works. I have made over 200 videos with it and I like the way it creates a consistent brand.
Pros
Easy to use, quick processing, good features and lots of video/photo clips to select from. Easy to use for uploading and using my own voice over tracks.
Cons
Sometimes the clips the system brings in are just not right. Then it takes some time to change out the clips before creating the video. I had a few issues to start with and the response time to my emails was slow. It would be nice to have a support chat that works in real time.

Pros
I just input the text, and the software will select the videos for me and caption them.
I just need to spend some time editing the videos for some scenes and also splitting scenes when there's too much text on a particular scene.
The recent collaboration with ElevenLabs and Getty Images has boosted the quality of the videos.
Cons
The auto voice generator can often mispronounce certain terms.
Also the limit is videos of 20 minutes.

Using the script to video generator most of the time. Pictory.ai is a valuable tool for content creators because of its combination of AI-generated image creation and user-friendly editing tools. It's an excellent choice for those who want to produce visual content quickly and easily using a single platform. In addition, their customer service is always very helpful and responsive when issues arise. Personally, I find myself using their script-to-video generator feature the most.
Cons
Although Pictory.ai could benefit from some improvements, I've noticed that they are actively working on enhancing the platform. However, at times, the tool can run a bit slowly.

Pros
The ease with which I've been able to create high quality videos with no previous experience. I am a novice with NO experience creating videos and yet with Pictory I've produced 70+ videos (1 -15 minutes long) over the last 9 months. LOVE it! The result is HIGH quality videos that I can quickly edit if needed.
Cons
No complaints here. It does what it promises and it's easy!

The main benefit I've experienced thus far is the ability to repurpose written content - from blog snippets to Instagram captions - into short videos for primarily Instagram stories but you can also use it for YouTube, LinkedIn and more. You spend so much time writing blogs and captions, so why not extend the lifetime of your written content by creating videos? That's is where the attention is at.
Pros
The main reason I purchased Pictory was to repurpose my written content into video. I really enjoy using their "text-to-video" feature, especially as you can upload your own images and even record your own voice over. The tool is intuitive to use and I know it will get even better over time. The ability to edit video by editing text --- wow, this is incredible! Highly recommend if you want a quick, easy way to use more video in your content creation process.
Cons
- sometimes the images it chose to match the text was not quite ideal. I just swapped those out for different images.
- would love to see more images/videos added to the library
- looking forward to the ability to change the font of the captions to match my brand fonts (currently there is only one default font available)

I love that Pictory produces quality video content for you based on just a script (text-to-video) feature. It makes creating explanatory videos so much easier. As my review title suggests, this is the tool for you if you're looking to put in minimum effort for maximum output. Let the software do the heavy work quickly for you!
Cons
Frankly there isn't anything I dislike about Pictory at this point in time. I have tried almost all the features and they're working fine as described where I first found out about them.

We're using more and more video in my organization, and Pictory is the easiest tool we've found to create short, friendly video content with the least possible effort.
Pros
I used it primarily for text to video in a corporate setting. The UI is very intuitive and easy to use. Pictory selected a wide range of clips that aligned with my text, and these were most often usable without changes. I replaced a few of the clips and images with my own media, and this process was quick and easy. If you're looking for a simple way to create videos, without learning high-end production software, Pictory is the best option I've found.
Cons
The AI generated voices were better than some, but I felt it was obvious that they were AI. This won't work in my particular environment, so I uploaded my own audio. This was simple, and the audio synced well with the text and video.

So far I like the AI voiceover generation that I use for an audio watermark which saved me bags of time sourcing a voiceover artist
Cons
I haven't had time to use everything yet

Overall, Pictory.AI has been a useful tool for increasing my productivity and making more creative videos. Having used Pictory.AI for a while, I'm particularly impressed with how precise and dependable the picture recognition system is.
Pros
Without the need for advanced video editing skills, Pictory enables you to create incredibly professional videos quickly. Every feature is beneficial.
Cons
I haven't found anything I don't like, and they keep adding features.

Pictory is a timesaver!

Pros
I love that Pictory is so easy to use that one can figure it out without having to watch a bunch of tutorials. My goal is to save time and Pictory definitely does that! I can upload my transcript and then while it is processing, I can work on other tasks. After it is ready, I can then edit the script, graphics, add voice-overs and background music, adjust the timing of each slide, add transitions, and much more to truly make it my own.
Cons
I would like to have a wider range of AI voices to select from and a bit more transitions. The transitions sometimes seem choppy but overall, there are enough for a good-quality video.
