Pros

I like the convenience of messaging multiple patients with one message

Cons

The only thing that I have found that I don't like about Klara is when a patient has been "checked in" in the office, they sit down in the waiting room and then "confirm" their appointment, Klara then puts the appointment back to "pending". If the front desk is not closely monitoring the patients, they will not notice that the patient is no longer "checked in". When you have a patient count of over 200 - this becomes a daunting task

I appreciate the accessibility of Klara for both us as the provider and for the patients. It is really convenient to be able to advertise a texting system rather than a nurse taking triage calls, we encourage patients to use Klara to send over questions and concerns and I believe this significantly reduces our office's phone calls throughout the day.

Pros

We love that it is confidential and easily accessible to patients. I love that it has the option to do E-forms so all paperwork can be completed in the comfort of the patient's homes before their appointments. I also like that each patient has their own thread so that you are able to keep things separate in their charts. I love that you are able to easily export, attach and manage documents; as well as exporting insurance cards.

Cons

We struggle with appointment scheduling, as the wording can be confusing for patients and they don't realize that they have not sucessfully booked their appointment. Klara shows the appointment details as if they have scheduled, but there is no clear indicator that you will get a text reminder when your appointment has been successfully scheduled. This has unfortunately caused conflicts in our practice with multiple patients a week arriving to the clinic at the time they thought they had scheduled an appointment.

Mediocre at best. We had issues and nothing was addressed. We feel Klara destroyed the reputation of our practice and we can not do anything about it.

Pros

The ease to communicate with patients back and forth was easy and convenient with some patients but not every patient is tech savvy.

Cons

The online booking feature is a complete failure. The customer care between Klara and our practice was practically non existent. The AI aspect was not very accurate or helpful.

I have enjoyed my experience with Klara, it has been a wonderful, safe way to communicate with patients and follow up with patients after their treatments to check in and see how they are doing. Klara makes it easy to export any conversations needed to our system, along with assigning the conversation to me so I get notified when they respond. I love being able to communicate with coworkers through Klara as well.

Pros

I like the ease and safety of communication with patients! A lot of patients prefer texts over phone calls so it makes it very easy and effective to follow up with them.

Cons

I haven't found anything I haven't liked about klara, if I had to choose one thing it would be that it is complicating to be able to export pictures that are sent through Klara, if a client has complications with their skin and they send a picture, our protocol is to upload it to our system and sometimes I struggle with being able to do that.

Pros

It helps us to be in contact with the patient in a certain way, and also provides the option of providing valuable information to the patient such as; appointment reminders, information request, etc.

Cons

It would be excellent to have more templates, depending on the scenario. For example, a template to provide the office number with the website would be helpful since the patient likes the doctor's profile and comments from other patients.

Overall, I have had a very good experience with Klara. I advised almost every patient to reach out to me through there. It is helpful to assist patient's questions and concerns because there is no mainline number to call the office directly.

Pros

It is an easy and HIPPA compliant way of directly communicating with patients.

Cons

When patients reach out there is a delay resulting in longer response times from our end.

We like our support rep and we like that it is integrated with our practice management software, When the system is down there is continuous communication about the problem and progress of correction.

Awful communications and not streamlined at all

Pros

Onboarding was unnecessarily slow. Took 1-2 weeks to get on a 15 minute call. They had (4) different 15 minute calls prior to "launch date" which was still not officially launched. Constantly had to message the people in charge of our account to get any correspondence from them. By the time we had access to login and try out the features, we realized we were not given completely transparent information and that all of our staff would have access to every single clients information.

From the beginning we told the sales guy we were in-home healthcare that we have one entry staff with one client (which he was familiar with because his child also had the therapy we provide from another agency). I understand why doctors can have access to any clients info, but an entry level staff right out of high school should not have this information.

Overall, between the training/onboarding, awful communication (still waiting on a response to be removed from their contract 3 weeks ago - followed up 3 times and no response!), and it not actually being confidential I felt compelled to write a review. I dont usually write reviews, I've used bad software before. This one is by far the worse experience I have ever experienced which is sad because I am from the city/town that they are based in so I thought it was a sign that it would be a good fit. Guess not!

We ended up finding a HIPAA compliant chat online that we could practice on before making a committment. I will only do that moving forward with any software we try.

Love Klara-Recommend to Anyone!

It has been a great experience. My staff loves it and it has definitely reduced phone traffic.

Pros

It has helped so much with patient communication and paperwork! Most patients have already completed their new patient paperwork and sent in their insurance cards before they arrive. We also use it for tattoo removal consultations and just have the patients send in a photo of the tattoo for a price. It has been a huge benefit to our practice!

Cons

Nothing negative to say. Klara was easy to implement and it is integrated with our EMR!

Very positive. I have really enjoyed saving so much time with communications since I am able to reach patients quickly and easily, and they can respond when they have the time.

Pros

The ease and accessibility of the messaging options. Since patients receive a text notification, the chances of reaching a patient quickly while still saving time on phone calls is invaluable. I also like the option to create templates to save even further time as well as the ability to send broadcasted messages and transcribe voicemails! All of these features are pretty great!

Cons

It would be nice if Klara actually interfaced with our EMR just so there are records in the patient's chart of conversations had by Klara text. This is just a small wish, though. Otherwise, no complaints other than the occasional tech issue causing some patients not to be able to access messages.

A+ The ease of communicating with patients and they prefer to text, and it is easier for them to use at work or on the go. Patients are much more likely to respond to a text then a call.

Pros

I love how easy it is to talk with patients. And it is so user friendly!

Cons

I do wish there was an area that the patient could send their information, and you could download it directly into software.

Pros

Our office does not have direct phone lines that patients can call into. We have a call center off site who handles phone calls from patient so Klara is a great way to communicate with patients directly who do not wish to go through our call center :) I also love that you can communicate with other doctors offices who participate with Klara to avoid calling and everything is documented too which is a plus while remaining HIPPA compliant.

Cons

Nothing I personally love Klara. I just hate that Klara locks you out for 1 hour after 3 incorrect attempts to login with no way to get back in hence forcing you to wait an hour to log back in. I wish there was a way to see what you are typing in as your password so that you can double check what you are typing to avoid incorrect entries.

Appointment confirmations are easy to use, and the best features include the ability to broadcast messages, discuss a patient internally, and assign the conversation to a team member.

Cons

There are glitches, an inability to delete certain messages, and an inability to add certain numbers to the patients' lists even though they are cell phone numbers rather than landlines.

I would rate it 8/10. It provides convenient communication and secure access. However, occasional issues with patient log-in can be improved.

Pros

I like how Klara has a user-friendly interface and it's easier to guide the patients how to navigate during a telehealth visit.

Cons

Recently our patients have been having issues logging in and unable to view certain documents that we send. I understand that security may play a factor but I would hope there could be an easier but still secure way

It is great to be able to text patient's easily and securely.

Cons

It is very difficult to merge patient's charts. If there is a phone # on both charts and we take out the # on one to merge,then we can't activate the phone # on the other chart. The only way to do this is to unlink it, add the phone # in, then link the chart back up.

Klara is something we use daily to check status on patients, help schedule appointment, giving results, quick chat for small issue like office location, and overall easier form of communication for patients.

Pros

I love how easy it is to get in contact with patients through out the day. It does a great job on reminders and letting patients know we will be with them shortly. Klara also offers an extension tab to be able to use for easy access.

Cons

Theres nothing bad I can say about Klara- I absolutely love it and think it is a great tool for our office.

Cons

Sometimes patients complain it is annoying to login and that the forms do not autosave mid-way nor allow any field to be empty even if it is irrelevant
