Pros

It has free plan suitable for small business. The operation is very simple and intuitive. You could design workflows for CRM marketing without checking time to time and send separately to each customers.

Cons

The price gets much higher when your customer list gets increased.

Pros

It's free and a great starter solution for email marketing. Most people will start with this because it's free. Great for the basics, though I know they've rolled out a lot of features since then.

Cons

I don't love that you're charged more simply because you have a bigger list. Deliverability isn't great because most people on MC don't now what they're doing and therefore impacts overall deliverability.

I used MailChimp for multiple clients over a 6 year period. Since then I have switched over to MailPoet, which has a robust out of the box set up, and very easy to teach end users.

Pros

It started off as a great utility for doing email campaigns and collecting your customer base info.

Cons

As Mailchimp evolved, it turned into a money pit for any type of good functionality.

Overall it wasa really good experience. The software does exactly what it promises.

Pros

The features it offers to customize emails are fantastic. I used the free trial and even with that i was thrilled to see what it offered. The Mailchimp automation is also fantastic. It keeps track of customers and sends reminders. That helps keep you open to do other things.

Cons

I felt like they were alittle pushy about making a sale for me to continue after the free trial. I recived a large amount of repeated messages.

Overall I'm happy with it. Once you understand your way around it it's easy to setup, the copy paste features are super helpful and it gets the job done!

Pros

The free features offered by the platform. They are very useful to startups and non-profits who are just starting out and need to use email marketing.

Cons

It takes a while to get around the software and understand how it all works. A more integrated tutorial for new signups would be really helpful.

Mailchimp is fine if you truly need the bare bones to set up your emails. It does the job. You wont get any additional bells and whistles, support help, 3rd party integrations, etc without having to go through a maze to get there. The "out of the box" solution is very minimal. If you are a decent sized brand would recommend a more robust ESP.

Pros

Mailchimp's email builder is easy to use and understand and you can make several emails very quickly.

Cons

Not enough segmentation available and not great with 3rd party integrations. Support is also not super helpful.

By liking a link to our Facebook page, the platform's intuitive to navigate, and it's very powerful, with automation features helping to develop focused and personalized campaigns for specific audiences. We have leveraged the powerful analytical capabilities and testing tools to maintain marketing optimality constantly.

Pros

The audience segmentation at the individual level, sophisticated analytics, or lack of these features makes MailChimp stand out from the competitions. Customer Journey Builder in this platform enables complex automation depending on customers behavior, and the artificial intelligence of content optimization can advise the best time for sending emails and approximate the campaign's outcome.

Cons

The campaign duplication could be improved, especially to allow easy handling of sequences in the automation process. Sometimes the reporting interface might lack more details on customer conversion for specific customer portraiture.

Mailchimp: A Great Starting Point for Email Marketing

Overall, Mailchimp has been an excellent choice for my email marketing needs. It's a great option to start with, especially due to its free plan. If the cost becomes prohibitive as your email list grows, you can always export your contacts and switch to a different platform. Email is a powerful marketing tool, and Mailchimp provides everything you need to create visually appealing emails, automate drip campaigns, and capture leads with forms.

Pros

I love Mailchimp! As a small business owner, it's been great. Starting out with its free plan was a huge plus, and I've been able to grow my email marketing efforts thanks to its easy-to-use features. I especially appreciate the ability to create automated drip campaigns, design beautiful emails, and capture leads with custom forms.

Cons

While Mailchimp has been great for me, there are a few drawbacks. Once you surpass the free plan's limits, the cost can quickly escalate. Additionally, designing emails on a mobile device or tablet can be a bit cumbersome, and I've occasionally encountered glitches when sending longer emails on desktop.

Alternatives Considered

Constant Contact and Zoho Mail

Reasons for Switching to Mailchimp

Since my number of contacts was below their limit, I was able to join for free.

Pros

I just love MailChimp been using them for years They allow you to get started with an autoresponder for free most don't They also allow you to have up to 2000 subscribers for free which is a lot of money with every other responder.

Cons

There's very few things that I could say lease about MailChimp I can't even think of one right now because they keep updating the platform and making it better and better it even integrates with a lot of softwares and e-commerce tools so no cons for me.

We used Mailchimp for many years, but decided to move to other ESPs as their pricing is not competitive.

Pros

Mailchimp has good deliverability and their automation interface was easy to use.

Cons

Mailchimp's pricing was too expensive. There are many companies that provide similar services (ConvertKit, Brevo, ect). It should not be too expensive to send an email to your readers.

In the beginning, I found Mailchimp easy to use for my email marketing needs, especially as I run a nanny agency. However, things took a turn when a hired worker added her name to my marketing email account without my knowledge. After she left, I realized the issue, but despite speaking with a representative and sending several emails asking for help, I didn’t receive the support I needed to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, I had to start from scratch with a different platform. It was frustrating because I had invested time into setting everything up, only to be left without a proper solution from Mailchimp.

Pros

The interface is user-friendly, and it’s easy to get started with email campaigns.

Cons

Customer support was disappointing when I encountered issues. They couldn’t help fix a major problem, and I had to switch to another service as a result.
