Overall it was a two-sided experience. We liked the application and features but were disappointed by the price and the restrictions. Mailchimp has a very good user experience at the application level but there is too much control on how we want to market our products. Unless they adjust we would not return using their product.
Pros
Mailchimp has a very good GUI. The application is very easy to use and well-designed for email marketers. I enjoyed the pre-made templates and designs. In addition, I was able to use the campaign features that helped me efficiently create email campaigns without any issues.
Cons
Unfortunately, the two main reasons we stopped using Mailchimp were the price and the restrictions that Mailchimp places on affiliate marketers. We were able to find alternative products that allow us to send emails without any limitations or restrictions on volume. While we understand we do not want to send spam messages, we have always felt restricted by the strict Mailchimp requirements. Plus we had no choice but to move on because we have affiliate links throughout our marketing products and using Mailchimp was very restrictive.

I have been using Mailchimp for years to send my monthly email newsletters, recurring automatic article emails, and donation campaigns. Mailchimp makes it easy to segment my audience so I can send different campaigns to different people in my main audience.
Pros
Mailchimp makes it easy to segment your email audiences and also set up recurring email campaigns.
Cons
I think Mailchimp could make it easier to use their template design interface. It's kind of confusing so I use Stripo for most of my designs and import them.

We are not a big company--20 employees and our sales department consists of 2 people, so our time is limited but we must communicate with our prospects, specifiers and customers. We have used it frequently to promote webcasts and conferences that we have hosted to a select audience that we initiated and continue to update from our Insightly CRM system.
Pros
It is easy to create an attractively laid-out email with all the desired content, including photos, graphics, descriptive paragraphs, etc... And then you can run test emails (to yourself and a few others) as often as you want in order to perfect the layout. An important function is the Opt-out that they make easy.
Cons
Nearly eery time I log back into MailChimp I need to relearn how to do something--but that does not last long. It is pretty intuitive to use.

I just love MailChimp been using them for years They allow you to get started with an autoresponder for free most don't They also allow you to have up to 2000 subscribers for free which is a lot of money with every other responder.
Cons

Cons

I love using Mailchimp to run our email campaigns. It has a very intuitive and user friendly interface, which makes it a lot easier to use in the beginning. But it's also got tons of advanced features like custom metrics and design features. It's got good performance and great uptime. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to start doing email marketing.
Pros
1. It's very easy to start using for the first time. All the KPIs are already on there automatically, so all you need to do is upload a contact list, choose and edit a template, and schedule it to send whenever you want.
2. There are tons of integrations available. It makes it so much easier to connect your CRM and other tools.
Cons
Many of the newer features (like forms) kinda feel incomplete. They're good for basic stuff but don't have all the features of standalone tools.
Reasons for Switching to Mailchimp
Mailchimp looked so much more developed compared to the others. It had the edge both on the design side and advanced features. And the pricing was very similar, so we chose to go with it.- Industry: Fine Art

Considering the price I pay every month and the return I get from using this software for my site I am fairly satisfied with the results I get for using it. I definitely think this is worth a try if you are new to site building like I was.
Pros
This is a super easy software to use especially if you aren't tech savvy. It helps guide you with site layout and formatting, gives site statistics and insights, and boosts your social media accounts and SEO.
Cons
Once you become familiar with the software's tools it becomes a bit oversimplified in the design department. It lacks features like gallery wall options which would have been super helpful for me.
Reasons for Switching to Mailchimp
In terms of price and whether or not I thought I could manage the software, MailChimp seemed far more approachable to a newcomer with lots of tutorials I could return to and helpful customer service representatives that would give me tips beyond what I struggled with.- Industry: Marketing & Advertising

Despite being somewhat fiddly when working with media insert into e-mails, I still highly recommend it over the competition.
Pros
I would say it is the ease of use, they have really simple interface, and it is very easy to find any feature you want to use. Also, when creating e-mail or any other document you can use various templates with drag and drop functionality.
Not to forget option to create mailing lists separated by demographics, interest or behavior.
Cons
