Pros

Litmos has a very clean user interface, and loading course materials and SCORM packages are simple.

Cons

No central content repository, limited access to style sheets for custom design elements. It's an expensive platform, to begin with but feel nickeled and dimed with many recent features coming with individual price tags, and it feels like recent updates are showing Litmos a bit out of touch with advancing needs of LMS users, especially users who train external clients and students.

Rollercoaster, sometimes they're spot on and have the features we need, other times it takes forever to get a known problem taken care of.
If I could go back and re-select an LMS, I wouldn't choose Litmos.

Pros

• Allows you to distribute material on a mass basis and track who has and who has not completed
• Learning Paths allow you to group a series of Courses together to assign 1,000's of modules at a time easily
• Modules can have embedded capability to allow you to perform tasks that the LMS does not have built-in
• API integration allows you perform useful tasks that Litmos does not have built in.

Cons

• The Support takes FOREVER to get anything done, even when it is a program glitch, at the time of writing this review I have been waiting 6 months for a fix to a problem that they have identified as a flaw and just have not fixed. This flaw has been debilitating to our Training Program with Litmos.
• Cheating is easy on built-in assessments. When completing assessments on a computer the user can just right-click and go back and re-submit the correct answer. Litmos said they would NOT disable the back-button.
• Learning Paths are the only level of organization that they allow, it would be nice to have "Sub-Learning Paths".
• Reports are still "meh", even after the reporting update. Thankfully there is API integration which allows us to make our own reports from the information on Litmos.

Pros

At my company, we use Litmos and I administer the exams and update the content. It has been great moving to this solution as we have increased user engagement due to the design interface, easy navigation and test/quiz setup. I love the reporting features. There are many reporting options that you can customize and then save for quick report runs. Creating exams is easy by using a spreadsheet (csv) template file saving you time. Making changes and adding unique features like randomizing the questions, adding certificates for completion and custom course images make Litmos LMS the go to solution for our training department.

Cons

Manual grading of short answer questions should be done via an email notification of those specific questions to make it easier to grade more efficiently.

We started with a very complicated LMS that we did not love at all. When our contract was up, we went searching for something else. We can across Litmos and it seemed to be just what we were looking for: simplified, easy-to-use, but does all the same things that our old LMS could do. So we went for it, and we haven't regretted it since!

Pros

It's incredibly user-friendly and gets the job done. It has many functions and helps makes the training processes fun.

Cons

Some functionality is limited, but Litmos is constantly working to add in features.

I spent several months searching for the right LMS for our company and the answer was Litmos! It is so user friendly for both the admin and the learner.

Cons

Right now there are 1 or 2 small bugs with one feature of their site (Learning Paths) but I know their IT team is working hard to fix the problem!

Working with Litmos has save my company a lot in training dollars and time. I don't know how I survived without having an LMS before.

Pros

Before Litmos which was introduced to me by our HRIS inside sales person my company didn't have an LMS. So anything was going to be better than coordinating training from a bunch of different providers and then tracking it all manually. Litmos' training on their system is simple and fun. They're people really understand employee engagement and seek to cultivate that out of the gate. The system is customizable, easy to set up and cost efficient. It also integrates well with my HRIS and our content providers.

Cons

The file size limitation is bothersome but other than that I have no complaints.

Pros

This is an easy platform to set up and use. It has good integration with Salesforce and allows us to have tracks and badges that make learning fun.

Cons

Best for internal training - it is not as good for external training, which is what our needs are. Also the design options are limited.

We have used several LMS's, reviewed many. Litmos wins on many fronts. On the surface, many LMS's look good and work OK. Dig in, implement and negative issues arise. Digging in with Litmos and most my surprises were positive. They have made things easy, everywhere. And they are listening and getting better every update. Test this product against any "bigger" LMS. I believe Litmos will win and the bonus will be less $$. Notes: Easy registration, intuitive graphical interface, deep integration with Salesforce, 10 custom fields in registration, custom categories helping learners find courses, SSAE 16, Soc ll security certification, more languages, can have optional content with required content..reorder it..and add content to an existing course, can see status of completion for every piece of content in a course, admin can see learner view instantly, easy learning paths, auto schedule good looking pdf reports to any email, allow hlml code in most text boxes for customization, impressive auto email options, online community, impressive support....... and so on.

Looking for an LMS? Litmos is not the one.

Pros

We have been using Litmos since they launched. The software is easy to use. That's about the only pro

Cons

- The product is unstable. Our learners will come across issues all the time. Litmos' support dept is not helpful at all (you will get templated responses that are not useful at all).
- Unscheduled maintenance causes havoc
- Custom domains do not support https (pretty much unusable with Chrome now)
- New pricing they've introduced is 1000% of what used to be.

Litmos is a viable LMS option for the small business owner and nonprofit customers as well as the larger organizations with established infrastructure and support systems in place. The flexibility of the system is a pro. I've had many different use case scenarios that I've been asked to provide a solution for and every time I've been able to provide one. Our user base is comprised of employees, customers and the community of family members and advocates. We can talk to all of them with the use of Litmos. Customer Support is exceptional. I've been on the other side of a help desk before and continue to provide support to my users on a regular basis in my role at Health Home. Litmos provides the support to me with the same care and reliability that I would provide my users.

Pros

This system has open API's that can be used to integrate with other website platforms, enabling a user to add learning to their own system.

Cons

It has too many pop-ups that occur when setting up a user that is going to access the system via SSO

Adequate.

Not bad, but certainly not good.

Decent functionality (a few extra plusses) but a lackluster UX.

Pros

Limos is an adequate LMS which can track SCORM and xAPI compliant content. Further, you can directly send xAPI day to the Litmos database without having to upload the content in the LMS (Litmos was one of the first LMSs I encountered that allowed this).

Cons

UX. The UX for the user end can be okay. I haven't seen two companies I had consulted with push the UX to anything special which leads me to believe that it may be a big undertaking. This is also based on my experience in having to go into Litmos to troubleshoot issues a client was having with a course reporting completion. The admin UI wasn't the worst I have seen in LMS systems, but it was not a great design and for newer users (like my client), this can be very intimidating and disorienting.

For the $ spent there are better systems then something that strikes users and admin as just "meh".

Pros

Litmos provides the responsive and easy to use user interface for both learner and Administrator. Role based login, custom reporting and API support makes it more powerful. You can have a custom URL of your own choice along with some prebuild learning courses.

Cons

As of now, the Litmos mobile app may not meet your expectations but you can choose to browse the Litmos platform using latest web browser.

Don't change your mascot. In the limited amount of time I have spent using Litmos I found found it fairly easy to use. Also, anytime I have contacted the support team I have had my questions answered quickly and professionally.

Pros: I find the system very user friendly and easy to build courses. I am looking forward to the advanced reporting being launched.

Cons: I understand that there may be some limitations to the Webex integration. Meaning not every version of Webex will integrate. I would like to have the ability to use all levels of their service or if you offer a web hosting feature this could solve my current problem.

Litmos is an excellent platform for us to provide our BonaTraining programs to our customers after (and sometimes prior to) attending our 4-Day hands-on sessions! The functionality allows us to do so much more than just posting Youtube videos and lets us truly engage with our customers. It also opens up all kinds of other training opportunities that we just don't have the physical or time resources to capitalize on from a day-to-day basis. Now BonaTraining is available when convenient for our customers and at theirchosen speed! Perfect!!!

Very easy to use, nice clean design. One thing I would recommend while configuring the system is to document all the decisions you make in the configuration process, both the things you decide to turn on and the things you decide not to turn on. It is usually easy to remember why something is configured to be active, but it is often less clear why something was not made active. Documenting your decision process will save you time later when questions come up about why certain features are turned off.

I love using Litmos. It has a great UI and integrates very well with Salesforce. There are a few more features I'd like to see in future releases, but one of the best things about Litmos is the speed with which the team updates the software and the fact that they truly take into out their users' needs.

Litmos provides a good user experience for the learners in our organization. They can quickly access and complete the trainings online or on the mobile app. The company has also pushed out some nice updates to enhance the experience. The only con is the admin side seems a bit clunky as it often takes many clicks to get the info you want, but even that has improved recently.

Pros

The wide array of self-taught classes is fantastic and beneficial for all of our employees. The dashboard is intuitive and informative. The courses are well created as well.

Cons

The courses are not the most organized which can discourage individuals to find a self-taught class.

Pros

Litmos is one of the easiest to setup LMS that I've ever used. They offer a solid API and prepackaged connectors that make it simple to get the content you want into their platform.

Cons

Compared to some of their competitors they're lacking some features like a tagging options.

As a new customer to Litmos and the Revenue Cycle content library, we are very happy with our roll-out. It has been easy for us to ultimately plug and play while at the same time the tools are there for us to further develop and enhance our training program in the future. So far everything that I have experienced with Litmos has been great. I am a bit new to it and I am eager to learn more. My prior experience with a training platform was nightmare for our end users. Litmos is easy to navigate for keeping your course content up to date and and it's also very easy for the customer.
