Overall, I think Aspire is great. It has helped our business grow and gain better insight into the true costs on a job by job basis.

Pros

Aspire can seem very daunting at first glance, but if you take the time to really dig in and learn it, Aspire is fantastic. I like that it updates in real time. That you can track productivity on a ticket by ticket basis. The ability to apply all costs to individual tickets to better understand the job profitability. And you can build pretty much any report you could ever need.

Cons

There are work arounds when it comes to billing set up (like getting the bill to info to match a certain Management Groups needs). I would like to be able to use a customer's email more than once, because of billing work arounds.

I am amazed as to how well Aspire operates. The ability to count for everything and not allow you to forget things as unbilled or uncompleted is amazing. Their scheduling is on another dimension and job costing is amazing. Ther are so many great features but one of the best features they have is their Purchase Order system. It works amazingly well and links well with inventory system that Aspire has built within. I can go on and on talking about it. I simply love it.

Pros

Aspire is a software that grows with you. Since we first signed for Aspire, they have added countless number of features that makes our day-to-day operations a breeze and they keep improving the system tremendously. It is easy to use and understand and the support you get from Aspire team and peers is amazing. You can call any Aspire user and seek help or advise and they are more than happy to help. The culture that Aspire built is unlike anything else you will experience and if you wonder, no I am not getting paid for these comments.

Cons

Just like any system out there, there is always room for improvement. My role within the organization is closing the month and accounting. I would love it if Aspire is little more friendly especially if you have multiple branches within same instance. Little too much scrolling for my liking. I would love it if the revenue variance feature got improved. It works as is however requires some work on users end.

Lots of functions do not work the way it is intended. Very buggy. Runs really slow and crewmobile is very outdated as well as the catalog still doesn't function properly.

Pros

That it is cloud based and works with iPhones.

Cons

It is very difficult to get tech support. Works like dealing with any other big corporation where the person helping doesn't know what they are doing and you have to submit help tickets. Takes a long time to get help and very likely will not be resolved.

Pros

The proposals that we are able to create along with the data needed to ensure proper pricing of jobs.

Cons

The inability to delete invoices from system easily or proposals not being used.

Overall I am very pleased with Aspire. The Property Intel integration has been an absolute game changer for us. As we move forward with Aspire and Pi the data that we are able to collect and store for our clients is invaluable. The support portal and all who have answered my ticket request have always made it easy to get answers on issue or to have a problem corrected that I may have caused.

Pros

The continued support and strive to be the most complete program that we could use. The integrations that are in place and that are planned for the future will only enhance the program and it’s necessity to keep us ahead of the curve. The API integrations that add to the value and ease of estimate generation will/are becoming a valuable tool for our managers. The PI integration that allows me to support 6 Branches with Maintenance estimates that are mapped using PI Complete and have all of the information that our crews would need to perform their daily task.

Cons

The lack of ability to restrict some of the user roles from being able to reset an estimate to bidding.

There was a big learning curve with the implementation and getting the teams plugged in and operational but once it all came together the benefits were apparent. We're tracking performance much better then in the past and more efficiently as well. The continuing support from the Aspire team has been great as well.

Pros

The two biggest challenges facing landscaping companies I find are 1. managing maintenance labor while delivering quality and 2. creating and tracking billable opportunities with efficiency. Aspire excels in both of these categories. The operational side of the software is excellent and gives the branch teams the tools they need to estimate, schedule and track performance. The estimating, job costing, scheduling and the crew mobile functions are all solid and perform well.

Cons

On the flip side the administrative and accounting side of Aspire has some challenges integrating smoothly with our accounting system. The inability to reverse transactions easily is an example. There are some good checks in place like the EOM checklists to keep everything balanced though. A fully integrated and functional accounting system would be a nice addition to the package. I believe Aspire is working on that.

The support team is AMAZING. I can't say enough about how helpful they have been as we started with them, even though it's taken a long time to get us where we are. They have been patient and helpful throughout the process.

Pros

The implementation team was phenomenal in helping us get set our system set up for our specific needs. [sensitive content hidden] was amazingly helpful, flexible, and super patient with us - which we desperately needed. We're also very excited about having one platform to use for all of our needs instead of multiple programs to track everything.

Cons

For us the hardest part is finding the time to set up all the items we need to cater the system to our business. We have very specific needs, and the set up has taken a long time solely because of the specific nature and number of items that we need to set up prior to using the system to it's full potential.

On boarding was a year long process and quite overwhelming but once we had a year of operation under our belts we are happy with the program. Support team has helped us each step of the way and are available with questions. It's quite an investment in time and money but worth it.

Pros

Everything all in one software system. No need to have 7 different estimating spreadsheets, new lead tracking sheets, purchasing sheets, etc. Plus it is cloud based so can be accessed from anywhere on most devices. Previous system was server based and not practical when not in front of computer.

Cons

Snow module is difficult and not something we can use at this time. Additionally the reporting in Aspire leaves something to be desired. Wish it was more hands on and easier to create my own reports from any information in the system.

Tremendous!!! I have loved creating processes and procedures to better analyze data in order to make educated decisions that impact the success of our businesses.

Pros

Never ending improvements to help our industry become more efficient in data input and analysis.

Cons

CRM-Need more visualization and allow reporting based upon P&L sales as opposed to individual performance.
Some Filters and Displays need to be added to List functionality to reduce the need to export into other systems.

It has been a great experience; we have had some hiccups along the way. But after attending Ignite conference it really opened our eyes to how much potential this software has and what it truly is capable of.

Pros

I love that it puts all of our customers into one database and allowed for us to be able to see real time data on performance of jobs. It has been such a great switch for our company and helped our company start to be able to realize things that we need to change in order to be more profitable across the board.

Cons

I would say that the ease of learning how to do things in Aspire there is a little bit of a learning curve. I do know we have a lot of employees that are not necessarily tech savvy, and they have had a hard time catching on how to utilize the software.

I love Aspire, overall, it's a great platform and they are continuing to develop the features. I am excited to see what's new updates are coming out each month. It's expensive and if we have made sure we are using our investment to its fullest. We still have a long way to go to be using all the features in aspire and it takes a person dedicated to overseeing it to ensure everything is flowing and utilized.

Pros

Aspire is nice because it brings all of the aspects of work to one platform. Prior to aspire we had multiple different software platforms specific to divisions.

Cons

It takes the right person to set up and implement. When we implemented, we had team members who were not on the same page and not having a clear concise plan going into implementation it caused us to have to go back and correct things that were not working as we expected.

Excellent. The staff are very supportive and helpful and seem to actually care about their work and getting answers. The system is maintained and constantly improving. This is clearly a smart company that cares about what they're doing.

Pros

It's intuitive and understands my specific needs. It also covers the whole lifecycle of the company, from sale through operations to billing.

Cons

I like Aspire a lot, but I would like a bit more of a QA component to work with so we could use it entirely across the company.

The customer service and assistance that you receive from the team at Aspire is the best feature of the software. We receive responses immediately to questions, layouts, and general assistance. Aspire also offers additional live training classes with Q&A sessions weekly that you can attend, making this software worth the investment.

Pros

After using the software for approximately 6 months, our entire team began to see all the time-saving benefits of using Aspire as well as the benefits of "real-time" accounting and job profits.

Cons

For us, the transition to Aspire was difficult because we switched from Sage to QB and changed our payroll carrier at the same time we moved to Aspire. This was a mistake on our part because there was too much to implement in a short period of time. The training period for Aspire is set, and there is little room for accommodations for extending the time period if needed. Once you commit to using Aspire, you need to be aware that you have to make learning the system a priority within the timetable that is set.

We switched so we could have real-time capabilities for job costing and management. After doing a considerable amount of research, we felt that Aspire was the best match for our needs.

Reasons for Switching to Aspire

The sales rep for Aspire was much more persistent and truly sold us on the fact that we would receive much better customer service after purchasing Aspire. We only had one meeting with LMN and they did not follow up after the initial sales pitch for over a week. Our Aspire rep, contacted us multiple times to see if he could answer any other questions or provide more details on the features.

I have been a user for about a year now, and the experience is really what you make of it. The tools are all there, but it is up to you to maximize the utility of the system. Whether that be creating reports, dials, or other metrics.

Pros

Aspire gives you nearly every tool you would need. The support behind the system is great. I have never had to wait more than 24 hours to have a ticket worked on. Everyone I have spoken to from Aspire has been very friendly and helpful.

Cons

I do not have any complaints about Aspire at this time. I am very pleased with the capabilities.

Aspire is invaluable to my business. I can't imagine how difficult it would be run the business without this tool. The transparency, reporting, data management and customer support make this as important a piece of my company as any one of my employees.

Pros

Aspire understands my business and has developed a tool specifically for me. Their commitment to constant improvement and customer support are second to none.

Cons

Snow removal is something only some companies in my industry do based on geography. Aspire's snow management tools aren't the best out there but they are getting better.

It is user friendly between our Ops and Sales department. We have been deep diving into other areas as well like inventory and site audits and Aspire has a lot to offer.

Cons

The site audits when being used on the phone are not user friendly.

Aspire just works

We used CLIP for 15 years, LMN for 5 years and now Aspire. Aspire costs more but you also get a lot more.

Pros

Accuracy of estimating. Speed with which estimates can be generated using templates, the equipment module syncing with gps and alerting for all of the maintenance. I also wish you could generate an efficiency score for each employee rather than only for the crew leader.

Cons

Not being able so see notes on the equipment serviced report. You can see the notes on the equipment needing serviced report but for some reason not on the report of the equipment that has been serviced.

Aspire is an all-in-one system for landscaping companies.

Cons

When you need important enhancements to the system, it takes a while for development to correct/fix little and big updates.

It's been very positive. From the onboarding, deployment, and ongoing support. The CSM's are very well trained, personable, and knowledgeable.

Pros

The information/data that one can pull is astounding.

Cons

It is very hard to correct a mistake. It's doable, just takes some time and digging.
