The best feature of data dog is real time monitoring of logs and vulnerability scan which stands unique to save the server and cloud from further damaging

The datadog user interface is very hard to learn and with the minimum training anyone cannot operate it fully also a lot of integrations are very difficult to operate.

You cannot filter the menu on the left. It is a lot for a newbie.

An excellent tool for solving all problems. It includes tracing capabilities and distributed tracing. Metrics and logs are real-time. It also offers RUM for user monitoring across different devices, custom metrics, as well as seamless integration with incident response tools.

I'm nitpicking, but the IaaS code needed to write monitors isn't intuitive. The API data is convoluted and quite confusing when it comes to writing complex monitors. There is a workaround to copy and paste the JSON from the Datadog UI, but reading what the monitor does directly from the code is quite a chore.

It's large feature-set and integrations that make setting up new alerts and dashboard easy

It is very complicated at times and we end up not using things very efficiently.

The quality of insights it produces out of box is amazing. Earlier we were using a set of different tools for monitoring and logs but it helped us consolidate them giving us over 80% in cost s saving and a much better picture of whats going on

Implementation can be challenging to start with but once we successfully updated our based docker images, it was quite easy to roll it out to more services

User friendly UI/UX. Easy to navigate and finding different functions of application is quite easy

Search Explorer for logs filtering is not very efficient. The checkboxes flicker

The most I like about the data is trace of the apis and Service Catalog showing all the important details of API. apart from these pipeline feature as well.

I very much like datadog, but the UI of log section can be imporved. It looks a but clutter.

It takes some time to learn how to use all the features. It's also a bit expensive

RUM has helped us in identifying the frustrations of end user, visibly view how the end user is interacting with our application and ultimately serve our users better and improve usability for them. Also the Datadog monitors for monitoring CPU and memory usage have been a real game changer in resolving memory leaks.

Something to improve on is capture information logs whenever required in the RUM sessions in case we want to debug certain scenarios even before errors happen.

The security measure from the program has been well implemented, and it resolves all the data needs.

The most efficient data resolving needs are well captured by Datadog.

I can logs from various environments and with many options to filter and seerch so I can tweak the settings and see the logs I am looking for.

I found it a bit difficult to get my head around where to find what and how to make a simple query - but then it's probably because I was completely new to Application Performance Monitoring tools in general. Once I used the tool for some live debugging I got the hang of it :)

Ease of integrataion. Both alerts, metrics and log aggregation in one place. Website Synthetics was very useful too.

Data ingestion cost can be too high at times if not controlled in a granular manner.
