> **Pros**: If you can think it up, Informatica can almost certainly accomplish it.  It is an incredibly powerful data tool.  I use it pull data out of various databases, load data into various databases via various data sources (API, files, etc.), and transform data source files.  It can be used for a myriad of other purposes.  The ability to schedule jobs is exceptionally helpful and is a time saver.  The company is very good about notifying about service disruptions (which are very rare).

> **Cons**: Learning the peculiarities of Informatica can be challenging.  It requires to knowing what to search for online.  There are some decent resources provided by Informatica but they could be improved.  Front-line customer service can be somewhat lacking.
