    1Password makes secure passwords easy

    Reviewed on 10/11/2022

    Pros

The ability to choose safe passwords and have them synchronized to phones, laptops and tablets saves my daily life. Add to that the ability to share passwords within the family is fantastic.

    Cons

The android version is sometimes a but quirky when it comes to filling out fields inside apps, but has improved a lot recently.

    The best password manager

    Reviewed on 23/10/2022

    Pros

1Password gets all the basics right: it is easy and quick to use, it helps adopting virtuous, secure behaviors and keeps all credentials and data in perfect sync across devices. It goes beyond just password management and allows to securely store arbitrary files in their cloud. It also features strong CLI tools that allow custom scripts to get sensitive data when needed and it even manages SSH keys.

    Cons

I didn't appreciate the recent switch from a native Mac app to an Electron-based one: it's less Mac-esque and more resource-heavy.

Its was a good experience using 1Password as a free password manager for 6month, but the lack of some feature made me switch.

    Pros

I liked the password generator the most, other feature are good, but not as good as other softwares, i hope they can improve them, its easy to use and very secure they offer 34 character unique codes you can generate easily, I also like that you can add Security notes, credit cards, government docs, software licenses all in one place.

    Cons

Hard to edit or update informations, I find it annoying because I have to launch the complete 1Password app in order to make a minor adjustment because I can't update them there, also The interface is a little bit overwhelming and hard to use then 1Password does not function with all websites and apps.

I take security seriously but I have 100s of passwords. 1Password is a secure place for me to save and share info securely.

    Pros

1Password enables me to keep all my passwords (I'm up to 300+) for my family and work place in one secure place. Sync works flawlessly and the UI is great.

    Cons

I wish that I could more easily manage which vault a new password defaults too. I regularly accidentally put passwords in private when I want shared with family.

I'm storing all my critical business accounts in 1Password and ensuring I have MFA configured on all of them. It's really useful to be able access them anywhere I need them.

    Pros

I really like how it can auto complete both my username/password and 2FA/MFA details on both desktop and mobile, it saves so much time.

    Cons

The iOS app has been a little buggy in the past but it's definitely getting better, the latest version feels very smooth.

    Reasons for Switching to 1Password

Having using LastPass in previous jobs I much prefer the UX of 1Password.
