Trackwise was totally configurable so we didn't have to worry about changing our process while trying to train users to the new system. The auditors feel it really makes it easier for them to get their jobs done and clients report that they really like the system because it is so easy to use. The fact that such a poorly designed, unusable piece of software is at the heart of quality systems in an important industry such as pharmaceutical manufacturing is mind boggling and, frankly, quite scary. Nobody talks about how terrible it is...of course no one sings its praises either - with the exception of Sparta's own marketing and PR teams. While much of it can be done on-line, most of the training materials only make sense when you are walked through it by a knowledgeable instructor... in person in MA or on-line. I joined the project in year 4 of a 5-year effort so was not able to take the training and get the experience with the product the other team members had, which was a disadvantage for me.
