About Lark
Lark is a collaboration software that helps businesses establish communication through instant messaging and audio or video calling. It lets users create chat threads and view interaction history to streamline communication and provide context on specific topics.
Lark enables employees to configure message priority and track message delivery status from a centralized platform. It provides a chat bot, which allows users to automatically receive reminders and post messages at pre-defined date and time. The built-in team calendar lets staff members schedule meetings, book rooms, and create group chats to share documents and meeting agendas. Users can send emoji reactions and pin important chats, ensuring quick response and access to specific details.
Lark provides an API, which allows businesses to integrate the system with several third-party solutions. It lets team members utilize the screen-share technology to share conference materials, presentations, and external applications during audio or video calls. The cloud-storage module enables users to upload, download, and preview documents in multiple file formats.

Great for current times
Reviewed on 15/07/2020
Pros
Video calls were easy to use and you can have a lot of people in one call. I can use the calendar to launch calls and Lark adjusts the time-zones automatically which which makes it easier when dealing with global clients. The interface is simple which is just the way I like things. The main screen combines group chats, calendar assistant, and private messages so there is no need to do a lot of toggling or have a bunch of different tabs open. Internal vs. External teams is also a neat feature I haven't seen with other software.
Cons
As with any new software, it takes some time to get familiar to everything but after a while it becomes intuitive.

4. As the team was growing we needed a way to scale productivity but couldn't find an all-in-one solution till we found Lark. We use the attendance feature to keep track of our workers in the field, we use docs to create collaborate documents and use Lark's video conferencing feature for all our team meetings.
Pros
1. I like that Lark gives me all the tools I need in one place, reducing my need on other apps.
2. Lark's mobile application is very powerful, giving my team and I the same experience on mobile as we get on desktop
3. Lark is really easy to use and set up. Creating groups are a breeze and with things like searchable chat history, rich media support and one click video calls straight from chat make communicating easy.
4. For what Lark offers, the fact that is free is amazing!
Cons
1. Sometimes the features on offer can be a bit overwhelming with a lot to navigate, especially for teams looking at very specific use cases.
2. As a relatively new product, there are sometimes bugs that might pop up but in my experience, it does not take long for tech support to patch these issues
3. video conferencing can sometimes be a bit laggy, especially when sharing screen or using the impressive "Magicshare" feature.

Useful for communicating overseas to places like China, but Google Work Suite does this better

Overall, my experience with Lark was not the best. I would not recommend it, and would instead recommend another solution like the Google Work Suite.
Pros
I like that Lark integrates multiple tools all into one. Lark integrates chat, video conferencing, file sharing, and even expense reporting all into one tool. This is useful and saves time.
Cons
What I liked least are the security concerns which prevented me from putting this on my personal mobile device, and the cumbersome nature of file sharing where permissions issues slowed down the pace of work.

Lark by ByteDance is a solid collaboration tool that can be a good choice for teams that value simplicity and ease of use. However, users should carefully evaluate their needs and requirements before choosing Lark, and consider other options if they require more advanced features or integrations. In my opinion, one of the strengths of Lark is its focus on providing a streamlined and user-friendly interface. The app is designed to be easy to use, with features and functions that are intuitive and straightforward. This can be a major advantage for teams that are new to collaboration tools and may be hesitant to adopt more complex platforms.
Pros
An excellent office collaboration tool and health software, Lark by ByteDance provides a wide range of features and functionalities. It stands out from other options on the market due to its capacity to combine numerous tools and functions into a single platform, as well as its user-friendly design and individualized teaching. What I really like about Lark, is the ability of Lark by ByteDance to connect different office communication tools, such as messaging, video conferencing, and cloud storage, is one of its standout characteristics. As a result, teams may easily interact and collaborate at one location. Team members can easily access and use the app because to its user-friendly design and straightforward UI.
Cons
Some users from my team may find the user interface of Lark to be confusing or not intuitive. This can make it difficult to navigate and use the app effectively. As with any online tool, there may be concerns about the security and privacy of user data on Lark. Users should be aware of these concerns and take appropriate precautions to protect their information.
