Most of the software we tested on the field does NOT work properly for our needs. When I tested the geo fencing / time sheets / building allocation to different staff and offline punch in / punch out from each location, most software failed. Here is what I deemed critical for janitorial: 1) Staff can punch in/out of each location (when at that location only) 2) Staff cannot see any other buildings in app, other than what is assigned to them 3)Dashboard (on web browser) can display each building with weekly time spent by one or more staff, so I can verify weekly / monthly time spent 4) Offline punch in/out - if no wifi / no cell connection, app can still punch in/out and when back online, hours uploaded to server 5) app does not track staff when they are logged out 6) if staff leaves geofence, they are logged out 7) QR code specific to site-locations (example: to verify staff actually went to that emergency exit 6th floor staircase that is supposed to be cleaned once every two weeks, not every 6 months or never) The only app that does all this is Clean Smarts https://www.cleansmarts.com/ (except \#6 - you get a geolocation violation but they are fixing this) > > **Cons**: 6) if staff leaves geofence, they are logged out - (this isn't implemented yet) ----- ### "Recommend for Cleaning Companies" — 5.0/5 > **Jeramy** | *28 August 2025* | Environmental Services | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Seamless messaging keeps your team connected, while customizable locations and shifts let you tailor the system to your operational needs. When you reach out to support they never fix the issue, say they will call back or email you, and never do. We are constantly having issues with very few being resolved. Or after being resolved, they happen again. They never call back or email back to give updates. This isn't days, its weeks and they act like we shouldn't be frustrated. > > Customer service is terrible when you have issues. Very slow to respond and resolve. Do not follow up when they say they will. We are looking at other software currently. My employee will tell me that they cannot log in at the location so I have to manually clock them in on my end.
