I work by phone, Zoom and at my downtown office location, and I had one client who booked me for a Zoom session say she found it confusing that my office was listed for location when she received her booking. I had to modify my location to include all three as possibilities, which just isn't a very clean approach. When we book our clients, we want everything to be crystal clear with no possibility for confusion. The Amelia tutorials were really extensive and also vague in some areas. They insinuated if something doesn't work...then contact the third party or contact your google administrator. RED FLAGS\!\! My first attempt after setting everything up and I had multiple issues...calendar did not sync, nor did it send notifications. So I tried to reach out to Support last Thursday...and still no reply. I finally decided to try the Calendly free version. Within 30min I had all my calendar integration with zoom and notification up and working with no problem. I'm sure this plugin will work if you have hours of troubleshooting time and help with a web developer...but after seeing how fast Calendly set everything up, I'm sold. > > Because I have yet heard from the company, I hope someone from their sales team will see this post. The website says if you request a refund within 15days they will consider...however I still have not heard from them after sending 2 ticket requests nor received a refund. I really liked the customizable options that they provide you to brand the booking process. They even allow you to customize all of the email templates that get sent to the employee and for the customers while letting you create your own templates. The same goes for text message notifications. I really like how employees can edit their own calendars/hours from the front end instead of the backend. The support team is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. > > **Cons**: I have gotten frustrated with their email templates not saving correctly and taking out spaces between random words and making my email grammar look like a ten year old written them. Their dynamic email shortcodes will get messed up when using a third party transactional email service but that could be the fault of the email system too. The frontend method for employees to add their schedule needs a major overhaul as it is very unintuitive. They use military time instead of standard time for ONLY the employee schedule area but as soon as you save the time, it converts it to standard time. Not sure why military time is in there at all since it has messed up many employees scheduling entries. The calendar booking steps (version 1.0) hides the calendar to see bookings randomly forcing you to click on an out of place "filter" looking icon to make the calendar show up. The calendar is the most important thing to have on the "book by calendar" shortcode option so not sure why it disappears sometimes. Speaking of that calendar, it is not responsive to smaller screen sizes. > > I recommend them to clients looking for a professional booking tool for their business. I know of the quirks so I don't mind using it now. The customization options are a huge plus. Their support team is the best that I've ever had to deal with. They don't shut the door if they hear you hint at asking help for customizing something like 90% other support teams do.
