> **Pros**: If you are new to programming in R or Python(like me) Stata is a solid choice as you can always run a regressions using only mouse and not actually typing a code. Also it allows you to run almost all types of basic regressions.

> **Cons**: Stata is very expensive. If your company does not have it I would not recommend you top buy it for using your personal resources. Also Eviews is much easier to use compared to Stata, so if you are not good at R or Python you can do the same job using Eviews. Last but not least other data analytics softwares are free to use and they give you even more functionality compared to Stata.

> Overall I am planning to switch from Stata to Python, as Stat is very slow compared to Python. Also there are some regressions that are not available in Stata, but are available in Python packages. Last but not least if you have a really large data(like 100000 liens of data) it will take Stata almost 30 minutes to perform a single action while python will do the same action in less than a minute.
