About Google Drive
Google Drive is a cloud storage and backup platform to access files, docs, photos & more, store them in a safe place, and collaborate with other people. The Google Drive platform can be accessed wherever the user is at the time, from in their home to on-the-go, or in the office, meaning files can be accessed, shared, edited, collaborated on, and more.
The security and backup features within Google Drive mean that files are protected and safely stored even when technological disasters occur. No matter what happens to the users' devices, their files are safely stored in Google Drive.
Google Drive allows users to do more than just store their files. Users can share files with exactly who they want and edit them together, from any device. Google Drive gives instant access to Google Docs, a suite of editing tools that makes working together easy—even when your teammates are miles away.

It is a great tool to work with files in the cloud, it is very easy to share files and work with them directly from the cloud, allows you to edit files and manage viewing and download permissions easily, without installing any software because you work directly from the browser.
Pros
One of my favorite features is to be able to manage files from different devices, like a personal computer or a cell phone, so I can work with my files from different locations, besides being able to work in a team much easier, I like that it has enough storage capacity and if you do not have enough space you can buy larger capacities.
Cons
Being a cloud service, it is necessary to be constantly connected to be able to work with it, which limits the options to work offline, it is only impossible to work or edit files if you do not have an internet connection.

Manage and control my files in Drive

Through the Drive application, I can receive or share my files, and also save a group of files with a common subject within a folder, thus facilitating dealing with those files. I can also save and share files in different formats, such as images, PDF files, drawings, and sometimes programs.
Pros
I liked some things about it: First, reading some files or seeing pictures without having to download them, and also sending them to my friends and employers. The possibility of merging a large number of files within a folder, especially if the files are dedicated to a specific topic Drive deals with many file formats, such as Word, PDF, JPG, IMG, and links, which shortens the addition of many programs. It also works through Windows, Android, Mac, and the App Store.
Cons
The disadvantages of this application are that it is difficult to arrange folders and files in it, and it also does not work at low internet speeds. In addition, it takes a long time to open the file through it, which forces me to download the file and open it through another program. It also has limited download capacity, which forces me to create multiple accounts

The simple solutions for Internal teams

Overall, Google Drive is user-friendly, easy to onboard, and easy to manage for our internal team. The biggest challenge lies in working with external clients and partners.
Pros
Google Drive makes it easy for our team to collaborate on work, keep our files organized, and find what we need when we need it.
Cons
With the rollout of Shared Drives, we have had some challenges migrating content from My Drive to Shared Drives because of what we do. As an agency, we work with external clients, so the ability to grant access, share, and collaborate isn't as seamless as we'd like.
I also wish there was an option for creating Shared Drive templates. For example, we have a specific folder structure we use for new clients, and it would be nice to launch that from a template versus the workaround we created for it.
Alternatives Considered
Microsoft 365Reasons for Switching to Google Drive
We chose Google Drive over Microsoft 365 for the ease of setup and management. We are also a Mac shop and Microsoft 365 has not always played well with Macs, so it was a no-brainer for us 8 years ago.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

Good drive also it's incredible because it's integrated with most software therefore sharing files and folders is easy.

I enjoyed using Google drive for the reason that it's storage capacity is upgradeable and it's shared across Google photos, Google One, Google calendar and Gmail therefore spaces is increased on single click on all those products.
