    Acuity Scheduling Is Simple, Affordable, and Great For Start-Ups or Basic Needs

    Acuity Scheduling is an excellent and affordable option for basic needs and a start-up practice. It's primary focus seems to be around creating solutions for scheduling and calendar management. If you need more complex SOAP notes, you might need a more robust system.

    Pros

    Acuity Scheduling is easy peasy to customize to your brand and set up for calendar/scheduling needs. It offers 2-way integration with Google Calendar and integrates with Stripe for payment processing. Clients can schedule their own appointments or appointments can be created manually by the clinician. Session packages can be created as well as coupons and gift certificates.

    Cons

    Cumbersome SOAP Notes. Acuity Scheduling allows you to create basic SOAP notes. More complex SOAP notes with dropdown boxes and radio buttons are much more complicated and time-consuming because more complex templates are not available. This is ultimately why I left Acuity Scheduling. I needed a more robust EMR because of the nature of my practice with telehealth physical therapy, personal training, nutrition consultations, and wellness coaching.

    An excellent choice for scheduling

    Pros

    Setting up and navigating this system is remarkably straightforward, and I can easily figure it out on my own. The customer service is exceptional, and I appreciate their sense of humor. Furthermore, it's a user-friendly system for clients, making it accessible to them as well.

    Cons

    I would appreciate having more diverse choices for how scheduling classes and individual appointments are displayed on our website, but for the most part, it effectively fulfills our requirements!

    Easy to Use Scheduling on a budget

    It is a great budget and easy to launch solution for appointment booking in the fitness world but lacks full functionality to manage all aspects of the business and is better suited as part of a software stack.

    Pros

    We've used this software to schedule group appointments at the gym that I manage and it is easy to setup and integrate with out sales funnel (through clickfunnels integration). It is also nice that it was integrated with instagram to easily connect to our social media.

    Cons

    It was great for scheduling individual appointments and group consultations - but to manage our gym we needed something more all inclusive to streamline the process and decided to use Mindbody instead (although that was quite difficult to get setup properly in comparison)

    We switched FROM Acuity to Mindbody. In comparison Acuity was much easier to use and integrate with our social media but having to use multiple pieces of software was inconvenient so we decided to streamline using Mindbody for all appointments which was much more difficult to setup in the long run.

    Essential and effective

    Pros

    I appreciated various features of Acuity Scheduling. Firstly, it is a convenient and user-friendly tool. Although I am not an expert in computer science, I understand the technology and manage pretty well when using these tools. Setting up my page was easy: the platform offers essential but practical and user-friendly customization options (color, layout, functions). Appointments can be synchronized with various calendars, and the system works punctually and precisely. I appreciated its simplicity because it effectively fulfills its scheduling function. The monthly cost is affordable, although it depends on how many subscriptions you already have for various platforms to manage your daily activities. But it doesn't stop there. It has other features that can be very useful for a solopreneur. It allows for controlling a client database and invoices (recent integration), and, most importantly, it has a valuable section for managing reports on various data types it collects, including conversions. This allows for obtaining helpful information for your business's commercial and strategic management.

    Cons

    I used Acuity Scheduling for a short period recently, and I was delighted with its performance. I didn't stop using it because it had any drawbacks, from my point of view, but simply because the organization of my work has changed, and now clients come through agencies I collaborate with. Therefore, I no longer have the need for a self-scheduling tool.
