Free email and inbox management app, from Google

About Gmail

Gmail is a free, advertising-supported email service offered as part of Google Workspace (formerly G Suite). With 15GB of email storage provided for free, users can access Gmail as secure webmail, as well as via POP3 or IMAP4.

Gmail automatically sorts emails into separate, customizable tabs (e.g. Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates) which users can add or remove as desired. Both inbound and outbound messages can be translated into other languages in Gmail, where users can also respond to invites, track packages, and leave reviews, without leaving the app.

Starring and custom color labels let users neatly organize email threads (conversations), while Google-powered search allows users to locate messages from any thread, quickly and easily.

With Gmail's Hangouts, users can instant message with others, as well as host video calls with up to 15 participants, straight from their inbox. The platform is accessible from any mobile device, via either native mobile apps for Android or iPhone/iPad, or via a native mobile web app.

Key benefits of Gmail

• Choose a professional looking custom email - e.g. [email protected] - for your company and team members to use.

• Host video meetings with up to 15 participants, straight from your Gmail inbox, with Hangouts.

• Access your email account on Android, iPhone, and Blackberry devices, via native mobile apps or the Gmail mobile web app.

• Automatically sort and label incoming emails with Gmail's color-coded inbox filters, similar to 'folders' in old email programs, but emails can have multiple labels applied.

• Recall or 'unsend' emails for a short period of time after you've clicked "send".

Nothing better than Gmail

Gmail is the best email service that anyone can have. All the associate service and integration that can be done with Gmail like Google Docs or Google Meet has help me to have more power and control to help managing my daily task better.

Pros

No email hosting software has do the job that Gmail has done. Managing email, auto sign-up for website, access to Google Suite and many more can be done with Gmail account. Gmail also can be upgraded to business account, which i can have my own domain email and using Gmail email hosting service to managing all the incoming email.

Cons

Getting a customer support service from Google is not as easy as it should be. I need to email them and wait for several days for them to finally response to my email, and no option to connect to the support service by phone for my country.

I think it's the easiest to use compared to others.

Pros

I like the ease of use and ability to set up my files the way I need to for business and personal work.

Cons

I'm still figuring it out. The only problem I've run into is the way e-mail and responsees are displayed. There is not enough separation and a time line. It clumps it all togeather in a big run on...

Reasons for Choosing Gmail

G-mail is just easier to use from what I've been experiencing... so far. The Microsoft browser is still better since some of my apps and other institutions like Microsoft better.

Reasons for Switching to Gmail

I just like g-mail more. It works better with my stuff.

Gmail review

Reviewed on 16/05/2024

Pros

What I like most about Gmail is its user-friendly interface, powerful search capabilities, and integration with other Google services like Google Drive and Google Calendar. The spam filtering is also highly effective, and the customizable labels and filters help keep the inbox organized.

Cons

What I like least about Gmail is its occasional clutter, especially with the addition of multiple tabs and promotional emails. The interface can sometimes feel overwhelming with too many options and settings.

Gmail is a good software for companies with large and expansive employee positions. It holds a wider and more expansive business operation in dealing with sending, receiving, holding meetings, etc. I myself found Gmail a good email provider but, It just had issues that I did not want to deal with.

Pros

I liked the personalization settings. Themes, etc.

Cons

It was difficult to find information and navigating to find a specific function was difficult.

Gmail = King of the Emails

Reviewed on 25/03/2024

Pros

I love how easy it was to get started with Gmail. Our employees find it easy to use, and account setup is easy for most employees. For myself, I loved being able to search through old emails, sort them, mark what is important, etc. It makes everyday tasks much easier all around!

Cons

Our employees have a company email signature that they customize. Usually, I can guide them through set up but sometimes the signature does not appear correctly, even if I follow the same setup instructions each time. Sometimes, it won't even appear at the bottom of emails...which is not very helpful.
